We want to do one day at each park and then a third day using a park hopper pass. We also want the Genie+ Lightning Lane pass. Is this possible or are there restrictions, other than black out dates of course. Thank you.

    Hey there Melanie,

Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question! First, let me say that I'm thrilled to hear you're planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth during one of my favorite times of year to visit - the Halloween season!

It looks like you're working on figuring out the best way to plan out each day of your trip - specifically regarding which theme park tickets to purchase. Assuming you're planning on visiting the parks on three consecutive days starting with the arrival date you provided with your question, it actually looks like the least expensive way to plan your trip actually also gives you the most flexibility and freedom!

Currently, you can either purchase single-day or multi-day tickets. If you purchase multi-day tickets, you are not able to add the Park Hopper option to just one day, but it would apply to all the days of your multi-day ticket. Therefore, it looks to me like you'd have two options.

First, you could purchase three separate single-day tickets and purchase the Park Hopper option just for the single-day ticket that you'd use on your third day. Single-day tickets work off a tier system based on the day you're planning on visiting (typically, the busier the day, the more expensive the ticket), so if you visited the parks September 21-23 then your total cost looks like it would come out to roughly $497 plus taxes per Guest (please keep in mind that these prices are subject to change at any time - feel free to do your own cost comparison on the theme park tickets purchase page).

Second, you could purchase a 3-day ticket with the Park Hopper option, which means you would pick a park to start in for each day of your trip but could start hopping between parks starting at 11:00 AM. This option offers you more flexibility with having the Park Hopper option for each day of your trip but comes out to roughly $420 plus taxes per Guest (again, prices are subject to change). Therefore, I'd strongly recommend option two, which gives you more flexibility and is less expensive!

I didn't include the Disney Genie+ Service as it sounds like you're planning on adding that regardless of which ticket option you decide to go with. However, I would recommend adding this service when purchasing your tickets (you'll be prompted during the purchase process), otherwise you won't be able to add it until you scan your tickets into a park on the first day of your trip.

I hope that was helpful, Melanie! Thanks again for your question. I hope you have a fantastic visit to the Disneyland Resort!

    Have a Magical Day,
    Greg
