    Megan from CA Asked

We have a one day park hopper reservation/trip planned in October. Can I change that reservation to be sooner and apply those tickets to a Magic Key?

Howdy, Megan! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for your question!

Purchasing a Magic Key pass is a great way to enjoy all the fun and excitement of the Disneyland Resort all year long! As long as your ticket is unused, not expired, and not a promotional ticket, you should be able to upgrade it to a Magic Key pass. If you want to visit the parks and upgrade to your Magic Key sooner, you can most certainly change your October theme park reservation to an earlier date as long as there is availability. I strongly recommend checking the theme park reservation availability calendar before canceling any plans.

If you change your theme park reservation to an earlier date, head to the parks and use your one-day ticket as you would normally. Once you have entered one of the parks, you will see an option in the Disneyland app to upgrade your ticket to a Magic Key. You have until the parks close that day to upgrade your ticket.

Since you are a California resident, you have the option to pay for your Magic Key through monthly payments after a $179 down payment. When you upgrade, you will still have this option or you may pay in full at that time.

I hope this information was helpful. Have a great time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
