Hi there, Kiersten, and welcome to planDisney!
Your question touched my heart, because my family also has a little stash of tickets that we are so, so eager to use. We’re missing the magic so much, and eagerly awaiting reopening announcements from the Disneyland Resort. We’ve never been to Disneyland Resort, and my Mouseketeers and I have been watching so many videos (including the amazing The Imagineering Story on Disney+) and dreaming about our west coast Disney visit.
Unfortunately, Kiersten, your
Disneyland Resort theme park tickets cannot be converted to Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets. While both parks share magic and Mickey, they are two separate entities and not connected when it comes to operations. The good news is that, should your tickets expire before you’re able to visit Disneyland Resort, you should be able to apply the value of your existing tickets toward the purchase of new Disneyland Resort theme park tickets of equal or greater value. New ticket sales are currently paused as we await reopening news, but you are welcome to
call or email the Ticketing Cast Members to ask about your specific tickets, their expiration date, and your options. Please keep an eye on
Disneyland Resort’s Return to a Land of Magic web page for important updates, too.
The GREAT news is that the Walt Disney World Resort is ready to welcome you and your family! Should you decide you’d like to visit the Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll want to take a look at
all the details about the resort’s phased reopening, including important information on tickets and making Disney Park Pass reservations. You’ll be able to browse ticket options online – I see your Disneyland tickets are Park Hoppers, and I’m happy to share that
park hopping has returned at the Walt Disney World Resort! Your pals here at planDisney are happy to help you plan that magical vacation, so please stop by again if we can answer any more questions.
Thank you for stopping by with your question, Kiersten. The
Disney Parks Blog is a great resource for operating updates, visit tips, and the latest news about both Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort, so be sure to add them on social media (and be prepared to drool at their amazing foodie content). Whether it’s at Disneyland Resort or the Walt Disney World Resort, I hope we’ll see you real soon!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
