One day we will not go into the parks. My son is 18 what is there to do. Is there a list.

    Hi Mark,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Kudos to you for considering a non-park day during your vacation. We love to take a day just to go to the pools at the resort!

Although there is not necessarily a list I can link here, there are some fabulous options. The VisitOrlando online guide is quite helpful as is the Orlando Tourist Information Bureau. Since we always fly and rarely rent a car, we like to go to Disney Springs on non-park days. We use the Walt Disney World Bus Service to get there. Aside from the wonderful restaurants at Disney Springs, I love to stop by the Starbucks near the AMC Movies at Disney Springs 24 and Star Wars Galactic Outpost. The windows let in lots of natural lighting that brighten the atmosphere - I just love to sit for bit and enjoy the view. I also stopped in Splitsville Luxury Lanes on my last visit. If your son likes to bowl, that might be a good option.

If you would prefer a day trip, I suggest visiting the Kennedy Space Center. Although the entire experience is amazing, seeing the Space Shuttle Atlantis takes my breath away every time. We like to do Lunch with an Astronaut and have heard some fascinating stories of space travel. If you go, I recommend that you arrive early and head straight to the Atlantis exhibit. In my experience, the lines are shorter when the complex first opens.

Mark, Disney's Boardwalk area also has the ESPN club. You could grab a bite to eat and watch a few games!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
