Hi there, Paula!
Welcome to planDisney! How fun to have a special trip with your daughter this week. I'd love to share some of my favorite things to do in the parks with my own daughter!
First, I love to stop by
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for a sprinkle of pixie dust! My daughter thinks this is so fun, and I've even been known to get a little sparkle when I'm in the parks with my friends. What could be better than a quick, sparkly, complimentary happy thought? Just ask a Fairy Godmother's Apprentice at the shop and they'll be happy to help.
Our favorite special event in the parks right now is the
World of Color Dessert Party. Your reservation for the party includes a seat to watch
World of Color - ONE, a plate of yummy snacks and treats, and drinks! The message of the show is that one drop of water is all it takes to make a difference, and I love sharing that with my kids. Check for reservations soon, because this experience does sell out!
My little girl also loves to shop...especially when we find matching things to wear! You might want to stop by
The Mad Hatter to see if there is a hat or set of Minnie Ears that you both love. Another favorite of ours is matching jewelry, or you might consider a tiara from
Crystal Arts!
I would also recommend taking advantage of
Disney PhotoPass Photographers in the parks. Some especially cute spots for a mom and daughter are the teacup outside The Mad Hatter in Fantasyland, Sleeping Beauty Castle, and Minnie's House in Mickey's Toontown. If you purchase
Disney Genie+ Service for the day that includes digital downloads of your photos. You'll be able to ride more attractions that way, too!
One of the best things I did with my daughter in the parks last week was watch the
"Magic Happens" Parade. It was so fun to sit with a favorite treat and enjoy the music and characters together! Just seeing her light up as the characters danced and waved was such a sweet experience.
Whatever you choose, I hope you and your daughter have a wonderful day in the parks, Paula!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
