Let the countdown to fun begin, Caroline! Thanks for bringing your question to
planDisney!
I can’t think of anything more magical than celebrating New Year’s Eve at the
Happiest Place on Earth! There’s nothing as special as spending the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. From the delicious smell of gingerbread wafting down Main Street, U.S.A., to the twinkling lights on Sleeping Beauty Castle… I just can’t get enough of the Disneyland Resort this time of year!
I think you made a great decision by deciding to book Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers for your two sons. My son participated in this experience for his birthday a few years ago, and it was hands-down one of his favorite Disney experiences ever! I was his Guest, so I was able to watch him build his lightsaber and take pictures. What a special day that was! Another fun activity for
Star Wars fans is building a custom astromech droid unit at Droid Depot. My son has also done this, and it’s another interactive experience that he enjoyed.
Since it looks like you’re from Australia, I can see how these options may be harder to find on your website, unfortunately. So, I’d be happy to suggest a few more experiences your crew may enjoy. Then, you may want to get in touch with your travel agent to help you book them. As for your daughters, depending on their ages, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is my daughter’s favorite special experience in Disneyland Park! It’s the perfect way to enjoy a royal transformation in an adorable castle setting. This experience is available for princes and princesses up to age 12, and you’ll have the option to choose from several different packages upon arrival. This is another experience that requires a reservation ahead of time, so if you’re unable to see it online, I recommend asking your travel agent about booking that as well.
Another fun option is to
embark on a tour together. One of the most popular tours available is Walt’s Main Street Story Tour. This 90-minute experience includes a walking tour down Main Street, U.S.A., a visit to Walt’s legendary apartment, and even refreshments on the apartment patio! Last but not least, for a holiday-themed tour, I recommend checking out the Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort Guided Tour, which is a 2.5-hour walking tour exploring favorite Disneyland holiday traditions. It also includes reserved viewing for A Christmas Fantasy Parade, yummy treats, and a ride on “it’s a small world” Holiday!
I hope this information helps you find some magical ways to spend your day, Caroline! Please stop by with any additional questions… we love making your Disney dreams come true!
Wishing you merry magic,
Kristin
