Hi. Only have one day each at Disneyland and California I want to get the best day planned. Can you help with tips on best way to use Genie and other ways to get as much in as we can.

Welcome back, Kim. Thanks for coming back to share another question with me. Ahhh! I can't tell you how excited I am for you and am beyond thrilled to share some of my strategies and tips for having the best Disney day!

Summoning the phenomenal cosmic powers of Disney Genie+ Service is a most excellent idea. It's an especially busy time of year to visit the Disneyland Resort with the holiday festivities in full swing and this handy tool will help reduce your wait times for a lot of attractions. I highly recommend arriving at the park early (for rope drop, if you can) to make your first Lightning Lane selection as soon as possible. Once you have all been scanned into the theme park, you will be able to book your first selection.

Make sure to stay on top of making your Lightning Lane selections throughout the day to get the best use of Genie+. The "Tip Board" (found in the menu of the Disneyland app) will tell you when you can make your next Lightning Lane selection. For ease of booking Lightning Lane selections, I always like to link everyone's tickets in the Disneyland app and designate one person to book all of the selections throughout the day.

Whenever I'm visiting with family or friends, I like to ask everyone what their top must-ride attraction is. We'll then prioritize these with Genie+ to make sure that each person gets to experience at least one of the top attractions on their list. Be sure to check wait times in the Disneyland app for any attractions that you can experience while waiting for your Lightning Lane selection window to open.

The time in between Lightning Lane windows is also great for having a Disney PhotoPass photographer snap a quick photo. With Disney Genie+ Service, you will receive unlimited complimentary Disney PhotoPass Digital Downloads from the day. An iconic shot in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle is always a great choice - especially with all of the holiday lights and décor (next year's holiday card, perhaps?). Other great spots for photos are in front of the Christmas tree in either park and I also love the festive decorations in the backdrop of Cars Land.

Another great way (and my personal favorite way) to pass the time in between attractions is by grabbing something to eat or snack on. You can even save time waiting in line with the mobile order feature in the Disneyland app. You chose a great time to visit as there will be no shortage of holly jolly seasonal eats and treats for you to indulge in. A couple of my favorites during this time of year are the Mickey Gingerbread from Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe (an absolute must) and the peppermint Christmas Tree Cone from Cozy Cone Motel 2 – Ice Cream Cones. And of course, there's also a celebration for your tastebuds to enjoy with a plethora of options at the Festive Foods Marketplace at the Disney Festival of Holidays.

Kim, I hope this gives you some ideas to get started for your merry day. I hope you're getting as excited as I am for you. Let us know how else we can help. Wishing you a holly jolly visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
