Hi Erin,
I hope that you're looking forward to your magical day at the Walt Disney World Resort! With fun attractions, interactions with beloved characters, and incredible shows, you'll LOVE experiencing everything together with your husband and daughter!
I just checked the
park hours calendar for the day you're planning to visit, and it looks like both of those theme parks are currently scheduled to close by 8:00 p.m., which is on the early side. While you
can fit them both in one day, you'll only be hitting the highlights of each one. If you do decide to do that, I'd suggest arriving at Disney's Animal Kingdom at least 30 minutes before the park opens (and more like 60-90 minutes early if you'd like to head straight to Avatar Flight of Passage) so that you're ready to hit the ground running as soon as it opens. I'd suggest that each of you pick one or two must-do attractions or events and spend a couple of hours enjoying those before heading over to Magic Kingdom Park for the majority of the day. There is a bus that goes directly between the two theme parks, or if you have your own vehicle, you're welcome to drive to Magic Kingdom Park. Do note that it could take up to 90 minutes of time between the two parks when you factor in traveling, security, ticketing, etc. If you do visit both parks, I'd recommend saving your FastPass+ selections for Magic Kingdom Park because you'll find the lowest wait times of the entire day to be within the first hour or two in the morning, and FastPass+ will be more beneficial in the afternoon. Ending your magical day with
Happily Ever After will make an incredible grand finale!
Whether you decide to visit both theme parks or just one of them, Erin, I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
