Hi, Rosella! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I am so excited to hEAR that you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the
holiday season! The holidays are one of my favorite times for a trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Nothing puts me in the holiday spirit quite like watching the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade at
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
Although the specific schedule for this year's Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party has not yet been released, in previous years there have been two performances of the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade at each party. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for all of the latest news regarding this year's holiday festivities. Also, don't forget to pick up a party map when you arrive at
Magic Kingdom Park for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. The party map will have a schedule of the evening's events.
In the past, the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade has taken place earlier in the evening and once again towards the end of the night's festivities. If this year's party schedule is similar to what we have seen in previous years, you should have no trouble keeping your
dinner reservation and still catching the second parade performance of the night. Many families with young children leave Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party before the second parade to get their little Mouseketeers to bed. Historically, the second parade of the evening tends to be much less crowded, so I think your schedule will work in your favor, Rosella.
Did you know that there is a brand-new fireworks spectacular planned for this year's Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party? I hope you will be able to view
Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks during your visit. Also, if you are planning on visiting
Epcot during your vacation, you won't want to miss the
Epcot International Festival of the Holidays - Candlelight Processional. This moving telling of the Christmas story by a celebrity narrator, accompanied by a choir and orchestra is a beloved holiday tradition.
Wishing you a very merry Christmas and a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
