Hi Moms- I have one child with a milk/yogurt allergy and a peanut allergy. My question is regarding the power packs. Are they customizable; I.e. Can a soy milk be substituted for regular milk and is there a replacement for the yogurt? Thanks!

Hi Melissa! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. As a mom of children with food allergies, I know how worrisome traveling can be.

As of my most recent trip to the Walt Disney World Resort, the Power Packs were pre-packaged with the exception of the drink. It has been my experience that the most common version of the Power Pack includes:

Apple Wedges, Carrot Sticks, Goldfish Crackers, Dannon Danimals Yogurt, an Apple-Cinnamon Snack Bar, and either a small lowfat Milk or a small Dasani Water. They may let you substitute a small fountain drink as well.

My daughters have had severe dairy allergies and they wouldn’t be able to eat the Power Pack because there is most likely dairy in the snack bar and also in the Goldfish Crackers. I would ask to speak to the chef that is on duty if you are hoping to purchase a Power Pack. They will be able to help to figure out if a substitution is available.

I suggest that you list the food allergies on any and all of your reservations. This way the Walt Disney World Resort will know that you may need to plan a little different for your family. Secondly, check out the Special Dietary Requests page on the Walt Disney World Resort website. There is an email address given that you can reach out with explaining your food allergies. They also ask that when you enter a restaurant to dine that you inform your server or a chef of any dietary restrictions upon arrival. Walt Disney Parks and Resorts has been a great place for my family to dine, and they have made every effort on their part to ensure we have a fantastic and safe dining experience. However, they cannot guarantee that allergens are completely out of the picture and they do leave it up to you to use your discretion.

I hope that the information I have given you will help you to plan an exciting and delicious experience!
