Hi there, Kathy! Thanks so much for sailing on over to planDisney. I know you are counting down the days to your
Disney Cruise Line voyage--it's almost here! As the planner-in-chief for my crew, I fully appreciate you thinking ahead to your final packing prep so nothing is forgotten. Let's drop anchor and dive right into your question.
You are in for the adventure of a lifetime, my friend! The
Disney Magic is the OG DCL ship--this special vessel set the stage for what would become an entire fleet of ships delighting Guests around the world. I love the Magic and the
Disney Wonder (the second addition to the fleet!) for a first cruise especially, as they are smaller and a bit easier to navigate for sailors on their maiden voyage.
Kathy, you are welcome to bring canned or bottled sodas onboard with you and there is no limit to the amount. They must be sealed in their original container and will have to be carried on with you. Something to keep in mind--you won't be able to access your stateroom until later in the afternoon, so you will be toting your soda with you for what could be several hours.
If you decide to save space in your carry-on luggage, I'm happy to report that soda is included with your Disney cruise, so you can fill up to your heart's content at any of the self-service beverage stations on Deck 9, or enjoy some with your meals in any of the onboard restaurants.
For an extra caffeine boost during your day, I love to visit
Cove Cafe most mornings when we sail. I tend to wake up before the rest of the family, so I'll squeeze in a quick workout before enjoying a well-deserved latte in this adult-exclusive spot. In the evenings, Cove serves cocktails and is a nice quiet spot to socialize.
Wishing you the most magical cruise ever, Kathy! It's been a pleasure--don't hesitate to stop by again if we can help with any other last-minute questions.
Anchors Aweigh!
