Hi - Is the one bedroom villa of the OKW resort still pretty spacious. We thought of saving the money and just getting the 1 instead of the 2 bedroom one?? If we do that we are torn between OKW 1 bedroom or Boardwalk Villa one bedroom..

Hi, Julie! The villas of Old Key West are of the most spacious accommodations available in all of WDW property. If you want to downsize from a 2-bedroom at OKW to a 1-bedroom, I don't think you'll be disappointed (depending on the number of people in your traveling party). Our family has enjoyed the amount of elbow room (or square footage) in the OKW villas.  Yet, we actually prefer the accommodations (pull-out sofa and chair and a complete bathroom near the kitchen) at Kidani Village and Bay Lake Tower -- even though the space may not be as large.

We have actually stayed in a studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom villas at The Boardwalk on separate occasions. We enjoyed the convenience of being in one of our favorite resort areas more than any other aspect, but I do remember walking a LONG way from the central area to our room. (At least it was an inside walk!) The rooms were well appointed although smaller than the ones at OKW. (I'm still looking forward to when they accommodate all the living areas with a pull-out sofa and pull-out chair so that my teenagers will be happier!)

If I had to choose between OKW and BWV, I think I would pick The Boardwalk based on location and varied dining options. If you're not interested in being near Epcot and/or Hollywood Studios and don't like the hustle of The Boardwalk activity, then reconsider my advice. Both resorts are wonderful, and picking between the two is difficult. Yet, OKW is going to give you a laid-back feel as opposed to The Boardwalk which will make you feel like you're in the middle of it all.

I hope this helps you plan and thanks for visiting me here on the Moms Panel. Come back if you have more questions. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
