Hi Jillian,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for your question. My family has loved our stays in Walt Disney World Villa accommodations; it’s so nice to have the extra room to move around and hang out in, and the amenities make the stay feel luxurious.
At Walt Disney World, when you request an adjoining room, you are asking for a room next-door to another. A request for a connecting room is a request for a room that has an internal door connecting it to another room. These requests are not guaranteed, but Cast Members do their best to sprinkle pixie dust on your vacation. Last year, my family requested a connecting room to my parents’ room; the resort was not able to accommodate that, but they did give us adjoining rooms. My kids loved being able to “run next door to Grandma and Grandpa’s,” and it worked out magically.
Jillian, because I’m not sure what resort you’re staying in, I suggest you contact Walt Disney World Resort
Reservations at (407) 939-1936 to ask a Cast Member the question. The Cast Member will have access to your specific reservation information and can help with this and any other questions you might have. If adjoining or connecting rooms are a possibility, you can add that request to your reservation if you'd like.
Please come back and see us on the Moms Panel with any other questions you might have!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
