Hiya Amy! Welcome to planDisney!
No matter what time of year you visit, the
Walt Disney World Resort is always a magical place to be. While the holidays and Spring Break may be busier times, with the proper planning, you can make your Disney vacation a purely amazing one!
Oh boy! I can't think of a better Christmas present for your two teens! They are going to be so excited when you surprise them. Adding the
Park Hopper Option to your tickets is a great way to add flexibility to your trip. If one park is rather busy one day, you'll have the option to hop to another park after 2 PM. This may be a good strategy based on the time of year you are going. However, I don't think it is a necessity. I would only add it if you are planning to visit multiple parks each day.
My family loves to have the option to start our day in one park and finish it in another. One of the best trips we ever had was visiting during this exact time of the year. We purchased Park Hopper tickets and were staying at one of the EPCOT area resorts. We would start our day at one of the other three parks and then finish our nights in EPCOT since we were within walking distance.
Even though the holiday season is starting to come to an end during your visit, you'll still be able to enjoy many of the festive decorations and sweet treats around the parks. The Magic Kingdom will still be fully decorated until the new year and
Disney's Hollywood Studios will most likely still be playing holiday tunes as you stroll around.
Amy, I hope you have a magical time during your visit!
