Does once upon a toy currently have a build your own lightsaber kiosk? Is it the $30/$45 ones and not the $220 ones? Thanks

    Bright Suns Teddie,

Welcome back to planDisney! I am your Human-Cyborg Relations representative, Ashley.

My hand-built lightsaber from Savi’s Workshop is one of my most prized possessions. I still remember how excited I was when I got to ignite my completed saber high into the Batuu sky. As cool as my lightsaber is, it is definitely not an artifact that I would consider pulling out every day. It is a little too heavy for young Padawans to yield in their training exercises.

For younger Padawans and Jedi’s-in-training who want to get more use out of their lightsaber, there are other lightsaber building opportunities at Disney Springs. They had begun letting Padawans construct their unique lightsaber at Once Upon a Toy in December when I was there. The price depends upon the selected components you choose to create your saber, but it is cheaper than one forged at Savi’s. One of the other Human-Cyborg Relations representatives, Robyn, has found that to avoid detection by the First Order the lightsaber stations move around Disney Springs locations. If you talk to a Cast Member, they will be able to help you locate its newest secret location.

If you are already planning a trip to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I’ve heard rumors from some members of the Rebel Alliance that Tatooine Traders in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is offering a custom lightsaber experience as well. It is very similar to the experience and price offered at Once Upon a Toy.

I hope this was helpful information for you, Teddie. Please reach back out to us if there is anything else we can help you with.

    Happy Planning!
