Hello and welcome to planDisney, Eric!
I simply cannot wait for the
Disneyland Resort theme parks and
Disneyland Resort Hotels to reopen. As we await that magical day, one thing I know for certain is that the
Disneyland Resort is ready to welcome Guests safely. As the Disneyland Resort advances through a phased reopening, there are some ways they are bringing back the magic for guests while making sure the experience is as safe as possible for Guests and Cast Members alike. They will likely sound familiar as they are very similar to the recommendations we have been hearing from public health officials to help keep everyone healthy during these unprecedented times. The safety measures include:
- The Disneyland Resort will limit the number of guests permitted to enter the theme parks and the Downtown Disney District each day.
- All Guests and Cast Members will be required to wear approved face coverings.
- Appropriate physical distancing will be ensured with signage and markings, as needed.
- All Guests and Cast Members must be healthy when visiting the Disneyland Resort and Guests will be required to have a safe, no-touch temperature screening upon arrival.
- Enhanced cleaning and sanitization procedures will be implemented throughout the Disneyland Resort and Guests are encouraged to make use of available handwashing stations and hand sanitizer dispensers.
To help keep the number of Guests within temporary lower capacity limits, new ticket sales have been temporarily suspended and Guests will be required to make a reservation using a new park reservation system. Details of the theme park reservation system at the Disneyland Resort are not yet released. Please keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and the Disneyland Resort
experiences update page for the latest news on making theme park reservations for your next visit to the Disneyland Resort.
Tony’s Tip: You may wish to take a look at the
Disney Park Pass system currently in use at the
Walt Disney World Resort. The park reservation system at the Disneyland Resort will almost certainly have unique characteristics to meet different operational needs in Southern California. Still, the Florida system may offer some insight into the type of system you might expect to see after the Disneyland Resort theme parks are authorized to reopen.
I’m glad you came to visit us at planDisney, Eric. We are happy to help you plan your upcoming visits to the Disneyland Resort. Please come to visit us again with any additional questions you may have.
