Once the ship docks back at port canaveral and we get on disney bus transportation to animal kingdom lodge hotel how long will that all take ??

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Susan!

I am so excited to hear about your upcoming Disney Cruise AND that you'll be spending some time at my favorite Walt Disney World Resort hotel, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge!  It sounds like you have a magical vacation in front of you.  Spending time at Walt Disney World when we cruise out of Port Canaveral is a MUST for our family.

If you are interested in a great dining experience during your stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, I would recommend Sanaa.  We enjoy having dinner here as the food is unique and delicious with an incredible view of the animals on the savannah.

When using Disney Cruise Line ground transportation to start your adventure at Walt Disney World Resort, the earliest coach will leave the port at approximately 9:00 AM.  Transportation times are subject to change, but 9:00 AM is typically the departure time of the first coach.

Travel time between the port and Walt Disney World Resort is between 60 to 90 minutes, subject to traffic and weather.  It is important to note that the coach will be making stops at several resort hotels so this adds additional travel time depending on the order of the stops and when they arrive at your resort.

If you are visiting the parks, I would recommend you book any Fastpass+ or Advanced Dining Reservations after 12:30 PM on your arrival day.  This will ensure you have enough time to reach your resort hotel, check in with your luggage and then get to the parks.

Have fun making magical memories!  Angie
