MagicBand+ and Smart Phone

    Once magic bands have been delivered to my home from purchasing through My Disney Experience, do I need to do anything (link) to make sure they are attached to my account? Also, do I need to do anything besides “pair” the magic band +?

    Hello and welcome to planDisney, Leigh!

    I do not know about you, but when I receive my MagicBand+ in the mail, I know that I am about to make some wonderful Walt Disney World Resort memories, and you are preparing to do the same. It just feels like Christmas anytime that package comes in the mail. 

    You will be happy to know that you will not need to do anything extra to your MagicBand+ when it arrives other than pairing, updating the software, and charging your MagicBand+. Your MagicBand+ will come already linked to your My Disney Experience account. You can complete the updating process while your MagicBands are charging. In your package, you will receive the charging cables to facilitate the charging, but I recommend completing that task about 1 to 2 days before your arrival so that the battery will be freshly charged, and you can head straight to the theme parks if you choose to.
