Once a magic band is deactivated from an account. Can it be linked to another account?

Ricardo, hello and welcome to planDisney! I see that you have a trip planned to the Most Magical Place On Earth for the new year. I can't think of a better way to kick off 2022 than that. I think you are in store for a great year.

Ricardo, MagicBands cannot be reassigned to anyone else - even if they've been deactivated. They are intended for only one Guest. If you are looking for a MagicBand for someone else in your party, you can order them online or purcahse one once you arrive. MagicBands can be found at most retail locations throughout the Walt Disney World Theme Parks and Resorts. An alternative to a MagicBand is what's called a Key To The World card. This is a complimentary card that you can get at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel's front desk. This can act as your room key and your ticket into the Walt Disney World Theme Parks.

You can also access all of that information through the MyDisneyExperience app for free. If you don't already have it downloaded to your smartphone, I highly encourage it. Once you have the app, you can actually add your theme park tickets to your mobile wallet. Now, all I have to do is hold my phone up to the ticket reader when I want to enter one of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. It really does take the place of a MagicBand if you would like it to. You can also open your hotel room door via the app, mobile order food, check wait times for attractions and so much more. It's so user friendly, I highly encourage you to use it during your trip.

I hope this helps, Ricardo. If you have any other questions as you plan your trip, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help. I hope you have a very happy new year!

    Enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
