Hi there, Penelope! Welcome back to planDisney!
A
Walt Disney World Resort vacation truly is fun for the whole family. But let's face it, sometimes we grown-ups need a few more breaks than the younger folks with endless energy. I think you've got the right idea to enjoy a delicious meal in the parks while your kids hop on a few extra attractions, so let's talk about it!
In order to enter the theme parks, children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Once you've entered the park, children under the age of 7 will need to be accompanied by a Guest age 14 or older. So, this means your teen and tween family members are free to board attractions, as long as they are between the ages of 7 and 17. Of course, navigating through the parks can be tricky at times, so you'll want to make sure to have a specific meeting place and time should any of the youngsters get overwhelmed and want to find you.
Now, let's talk about some fun things for the adults while the teens are off on their own. There are so many fantastic restaurants for lunch in the parks, many with delicious cocktails that are sure to hit the spot! Some of my favorites include
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen in
Magic Kingdom,
La Hacienda de San Angel in
EPCOT, and
The Hollywood Brown Derby in
Disney's Hollywood Studios. Be sure to order the famous Cobb Salad and refreshingly delicious Grapefruit Cake. You'll want to ensure you've secured an
Advanced Dining Reservation, so there is a table available for your party to sit back and enjoy a relaxing lunch.
Penelope, I hope your family has an absolute blast on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Please visit us again with any other planning questions you may have.
See you real soon!
