Once at the Dolphin hotel, is there a reasonably priced store nearby (if we don't have a car) to buy snacks, breakfast food and wine for the room, diapers, sunscreen, etc.? Or should we plan to stop en-route from the airport?

    Hello Crystal!

If you are staying again at the Swan and Dolphin Resort, there is a shop on The Boardwalk called the Screen Door General Store where you can purchase all of your snacks, drinks, and additional vacation items.  You can access the Boardwalk from your resort by walking or taking the boat.

If you would like to ask a Cast Member about specific items you are looking to purchase, you can call 407-939-5100 and ask to be transferred to The Screen Door General Store.  They are open 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM seven days a week.

Another idea would be to purchase your items before you leave and pack your snacks and drinks in a separate suitcase.  Since my family flies Southwest Airlines, we are able to send all of our snacks and drinks for free.  It is also convenient since we do not have to spend time shopping when we arrive at the Disney resort.  If you don't fly Southwest Airlines, I would check to see how much it would cost to check another bag on your flight.  Knowing your family will have everything they need for your vacation might be worth the money it costs for the extra checked bag.

If you have other questions, please let me know!  Have a magical day!
