Once you are 180 days out from your trip and eligible to make restaurant reservations can you make the reservations with just your down payment paid for? Or does your trip have to be paid in full to make restaurant reservations?

    Hi Carra,

Thank you for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Walt Disney World Resort offers guests a flexible payment schedule, which makes it super easy to book and plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

With your Walt Disney World Resort vacation package, one of the perks is being able to pre-plan and make all of your Advanced Dining Reservations at the 180 day mark, you can go online or call (407) 939 - 1947 and a Cast Member will be happy to assist you with your Dining Reservations.  Once your deposit is paid and your reservation is linked in My Disney Experience, you will be able to make your Advanced Dining Reservations at the 180 day mark, regardless if your vacation is paid in full.  You will also be able to customize your MagicBands as well as book your FastPass+ Selections 60 days prior to your vacation.

When booking Advanced Dining Reservations, I like to map out which Theme Park I am visiting each day and add in my Advanced Dining Reservations to my plan.  From there, I look at where we are planning on dining and add my FastPass+ Selections, based on location and proximity to where our dining reservations are.  For me, this helps me plan the least amount of walking and travel time during the day from experience to experience.

I hope you have a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort, Carra.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help.
