Hello, once checked in to our Disney resort I am aware using the MDE app will indicate when the next buses are scheduled to arrive. Does this work when in the park and planning on returning to our resort so we can plan our exit accordingly? Thank you!

Hi Wendy,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question, my fellow Canadian!

One of my favourite enhancements to the My Disney Experience mobile app is the ability to now see when Walt Disney World Resort Bus Service will be leaving my Disney Resort Hotel for the Theme Parks, Disney Springs and the Walt Disney World Water Parks. It really was convenient knowing just how much time we had to finish getting ready before the next bus came by.

Unfortunately, the transportation times are only given for transportation to various Disney destinations from the various Disney Resort Hotels, and not vice versa. This means that you won’t be able to know when the next bus for your Resort will be leaving the Theme Park that you’re currently visiting. I’m hoping that’s an enhancement that will be coming to the app very soon…

But, don’t worry! Buses typically arrive to take Guests to their Disney Resort Hotel at least every 20 minutes, so you shouldn’t have to wait too long for a bus, even during peak times. There is also usually at least one Disney Resort Transportation Cast Member milling around the bus pickup area, so please feel free to flag them down if you have any questions or if it’s taking an unusually long time for a bus to arrive for your destination.
