Once you arrive at the airport how long does it take to arrive at your destination? We are staying at the Bay Lake Towers at the Contemporary. Also I have read you need to check in at the Contemporary not at the Bay Lake check in. Is this true?

    Hi Paula!

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Just like Hercules sang, "I know every mile would be worth my while, When I go the distance, I'll be right where I belong."

You'll be right where you belong at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, and the distance is an easy ride. The resort happens to be one of my Disney Vacation Club Home Resorts, and I think you'll absolutely love staying there! I so enjoy staying steps away from Magic Kingdom, and all the amenities at the adjoining Disney's Contemporary Resort are fantastic! (Insider tip: The Sky Way Bridge is your direct shortcut between the resorts).

When I travel to Walt Disney World from Orlando International Airport, I always travel on Disney's Magical Express. On average, it's about a 45-minute ride from the airport to the resorts — give or take. If you are traveling by car, your trip could be a bit faster, as Disney's Magical Express could stop at neighboring resorts to let Guests disembark for those resorts.

Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort does feature lobby services that include check-in and a welcoming friendly team of Cast Members.

Paula, I'll also share that California Grill is my all-time personal favorite dining experience at Walt Disney World. If you have the opportunity to enjoy it, do so!

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
