Greetings Tamara!
Welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for stopping by as you prepare for your November adventure to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Spending a holiday at
Walt Disney World is certainly something to be thankful for. I'd be happy to provide a spoonful of assistance today. Let's dig in!
Walt Disney World restaurants typically unveil their special holiday menus a little closer to Thanksgiving.
Olivia's Cafe will likely announce turkey day choices just days before the big feast. Rest assured, you can still order from the standard island-inspired menu if you're not craving traditional fare. Stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog for more details as the holiday season approaches, and stop by the front desk of
Disney's Old Key West Resort upon arrival to inquire about exclusive holiday offerings.
My family and I spent several Thanksgiving days in Walt Disney World, and our most memorable meals didn't include conventional holiday dishes. My favorites were
San Angel Inn Restaurante at
EPCOT and
'Ohana at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Dining in a unique setting surrounded by family was wonderful, and none of us missed our traditional home-cooked fare since the menu at these restaurants was not at all reminiscent of a classic holiday table.
If you prefer your Thanksgiving to feel more like home, you'll have a cornucopia of options; in the past, most table service and quick service restaurants provided a turkey-centered option on their holiday menus. Alternatively, local grocery stores like Publix and select restaurants like
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' offer catered Thanksgiving meals to-go. If your accommodations at Disney's Old Key West Resort include a full kitchen and dining area, it might be fun for your crew to gather in a villa and give thanks. Bring some board games to continue the fun after dinner!
I hope this has been helpful, Tamara. Best wishes for an unforgettable Walt Disney World vacation next month. Please reach out again if there is anything else we can do to make it even more magical.
Happy holidays,
Betsy
