Ahoy, Angela! Welcome to planDisney, where we aim to answer all of your questions about where magic meets the sea. It looks like you will be setting sail in April and are looking for the perfect Port Adventure in Cozumel for your entire family, including the littlest sailors.
The good news is that most of the Cozumel Port Adventures are family-friendly and can be booked for all ages. The excursions requiring certain ages will indicate it right on the list of
Cozumel Port Adventures and you will not be able to book them for the members of your party who do not meet the minimum age requirements. Cozumel, Mexico is one of my favorite ports of call to explore and I was just there last January, so I’m happy to recommend some options for you.
We thoroughly enjoyed the
“Cozumel Ruins, Chocolate, and Beach Break” (CZ80) Port Adventure because it featured three different experiences in one, plus a scenic drive around the island. You will have the opportunity to visit the San Gervasio Mayan Ruins, learn about early chocolate making at the Mayan Cacao Company, and enjoy a brief visit to the Kuza Beach Club to soak up some sun. None of the activities were overly long, which is good for little travelers, but the adults in your party will still get the chance to learn a little about the history and culture of the island. If you aren’t interested in doing the Mayan ruins or short beach break, then I would recommend considering the
“Best of Cozumel: Honey, Chocolate, and Tequila Experience” (CZ81) Port Adventure instead. It also features three different stops, including the Mayan Cacao Company, the Mayan Bee Sanctuary, and the Tequileria. Obviously, the tequila tasting isn’t meant for the kids, but they are still allowed to participate in the excursion and will enjoy the other two stops, which include honey and chocolate tastings as well. My son was 5-years-old when we did the excursion and he was fascinated by the bees and how they made honey, plus he was a big fan of the chocolate workshop.
I love booking Port Adventures directly with Disney Cruise Line because you get the peace of mind knowing that everything has been Disney-approved and that the ship will not leave you behind should anything unexpected happen! In my opinion, you just cannot put a price on that. If you are setting sail in April, then your
advance booking window should already be open to make reservations for Port Adventures. Since you are close to sailing, some of the Port Adventures may be sold out, so you will want to verify which options are still available for everyone in your party. To do that, you can click on the “Already Booked” tab at the top of the
main website, then select the option that says “My Reservations.” You will be able to see your cruise information and then you can click the blue button labeled “My Plans” in the box labeled “Cruise Activities” to browse through the options. You can also add Port Adventures using the “My Plans” tab on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App.
I hope that gives you a few ideas about picking something that the entire family can enjoy in Cozumel. If you have any other questions about your upcoming sailing, then we are always here to help at planDisney. Happy sailing!
