My oldest and her father are doing the African Safari trek and we need to find something equally exciting to do with out 7 year old. Any suggestions? And is the safari trek worth the $? Thanks Tracy.

    Hello,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

I believe that your oldest and her father are going on the Wild Africa Trek. This experience is amazing! I did this with my daughter, and we had a great time. I do think that it is a good value. You get such personal attention from two wonderful guides. There are fabulous close-up views of the animals, including hippopotami. Being able to sample delicious African-inspired fare from a breathtaking vantage point on Kilimanjaro Safaris is fantastic. I highly recommend this experience!

Guests do have to be eight years old to experience the Wild Africa Trek, so it is a good idea to look for another experience for your seven-year-old. One possibility is a visit to either The Pirates League for your child to become a pirate, mermaid, or princess, or to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to become a princess or a knight. Young guests often enjoy these magical transformations! Another possibility would be a Pirate Adventure Cruise, on which guests ages 4 to 12 board a ship with other children in search of treasure. Finally, if your seven-year-old loves princesses, perhaps the Disney Princess Tea Party would be a fun afternoon.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you! Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
