i have older teens in my reservation and their tickets are in my app. once in the park, can they put their tickets in the app on their phones? can their tickets all remain in my phone as well for any group reservations for dining or genie +

    Hiya, Denise!

Ooh! You and your teens are going to have a marvelous time at the Disneyland Resort. I have loved watching my children experience the magic of the Disneyland Resort as they have grown. And it’s great that they get to enjoy some additional freedom and responsibility as well.

You are right. The easiest way to link theme park tickets to the accounts of other members of your party is to open the "Tickets and Passes" screen from the ☰ feature menu and tap on the "Link Tickets & Passes" button to scan the ticket code displayed on another device that already has the tickets linked. Or scan the ticket cards that are handed to you when you first activate the tickets at a theme park entrance. With the park tickets on their own devices, your teens will be able to use them for park re-entry and for redeeming return times at Lightning Lane queues.

With tickets linked to your various accounts, you will find that any device can then be used to manage the Disney Genie+ service and purchase individual Lightning Lane access to attractions not included with Genie+ for any of the linked tickets. If your party happens to split into smaller groups at any time, it is also possible to select a subset of the tickets when booking Lightning Lane return times. So if some of the members of your party wish to use Lightning Lane to enjoy "It’s a small world" while others use Lightning Lane to experience the "wildest ride in the wilderness," you can easily separate out the parties. The two sets of bookings can either be done using the same mobile device or different devices.

Note that dining reservations may only be linked to one Disney account. I find it convenient to text a screenshot of reservations so the whole group can stay on the same page. The mobile check-in will still need to be done from the account used to book the reservation. But any device with the Disneyland mobile app installed may be used to look over the menus of restaurants while you await your table.

Tony’s Tip: One of my favorite digital services at the Disneyland Resort isn’t found in the Disneyland app. It’s the Star Wars: Datapad, included in the free Play Disney Parks app. Play Disney Parks also includes games, trivia, and more. Be sure to stop by Esmeralda on Main Street, U.S.A., and Fortune Red in New Orleans Square to get one complimentary chapter of their tales each day you visit Disneyland Park.

If you are staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you may also link your hotel reservation to the account of each Guest in your party. To link a hotel reservation, open the "My Hotel Reservation" screen from the ☰ feature menu of the Disneyland app. With the reservation number, last name of the primary Guest, and the arrival date, you can easily link your hotel reservation. The primary Guest may also grant permission for other Guests to use their devices to unlock their hotel room door.

I hope you have a magical time, Denise!
