Hello, Leeann!
Welcome to planDisney! Feeling nauseous is never fun, but it's especially difficult when you're trying to enjoy a day at the Disneyland Resort. I totally understand wanting to know what options you have to keep riding Space Mountain all day with ease!
Isn't it nice that
First Aid is available at Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and the Downtown Disney District? I always try to come to the parks prepared for anything, but I really appreciate that I can stop by First Aid for a quick bandage, ice pack, or over-the-counter medication. Dramamine is one of the medications that are usually available at First Aid. Single doses of over-the-counter medications may require a signature and photo identification to prove that the recipient is at least 18 years old.
Even knowing that First Aid probably has what you need, I find that medications for motion sickness are most effective for my family when we start taking them before we enter the parks. You may want to purchase some Dramamine prior to your visit and check the recommended dosage and timing so that you're ready to roll as soon as you arrive!
I like to carry a small first aid kit when we're in the parks, including some bandages, pain medication, and motion sickness medication. Stopping by First Aid is a great option, but it's nice to have a few of your favorite things that you know work well for you! My kids are adhesive bandage connoisseurs, so bringing my own is kind of essential. But I love knowing that First Aid is there to back me up! Packing for a visit can feel overwhelming, but I like to use this
packing list as a great starting point. Just make sure nothing in your park bag is on the list of
prohibited items. Of course, there are plenty of
shopping options at the resort if you forget anything!
I'm wishing you a magical and smooth visit to the parks, Leeann! Please feel free to
send me a note here if you have more questions, I would be happy to help.
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
