How old do you have to be to book and check into a Walt Disney World resort hotel. The information I am seeing online says 18 but I am also hearing it could be 21.?

Hi there, Jaime, and welcome to planDisney!

I recently tagged along on my husband's business trip to Orlando, and while it was 'heigh-ho  heigh-ho, it's off to work he goes', I was happily in the middle of the magic at Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. Because he was at a work event, we were based at an Orlando-area hotel, and it was the first time I had stayed off-property while visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth. I was surprised at how much I missed the immersive feeling (and perks) offered by Disney Resorts Collection hotels

With my recent experience in mind, I'm happy to share that I just confirmed you'll never have to leave behind the magic of Walt Disney World Resort since Disney Resort hotel reservations are available to Mouseketeers ages 18 and up! With so many exclusive benefits available to Guests of Disney Resorts Collection hotels (early theme park entry, complimentary transportation, dining plans, and beginning in 2025 access to a Walt Disney World Resort Water Park), the question is not if you want to stay in a Disney Resort hotel but rather which one to choose since there are options offered for seemingly every preference and budget. You could embrace a life of rugged luxury at Disney's Wilderness Resort or save your budget for shopping, dining, and Disney Genie+ service by making yourself a first-round draft pick at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort. Resort hotels on the Disney Skyliner are also an excellent option because they make visiting EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios a breeze at Deluxe, Moderate, and Value price points.

I'm so glad I could give you good news, Jaime. If you need further assistance in choosing your magical home away from home, be sure to check out the planDisney Pocket Guides that highlight various Disney Resorts Collection hotels, or feel free to stop back by. I'm always happy to provide a bit of insight!
