Hello, again Sheila, and thanks for returning to planDisney with another great question about visiting the magic and wonder of
Walt Disney World Resort.Just like you, I have my own mountain of
MagicBands from previous trips to Walt Disney World Resort. And each time I
Return to the World of Magic, I keep on adding to my collection - it really is my pixie-dusted
ShopDisney - MagicBand obsession!
I'm so happy to share that Guests like you and I with
MagicBands from previous trips are more than welcome to reuse any still functioning bands during upcoming vacations. Although it is worth bearing in mind that some
older MagicBands may not connect fully with Attractions using Disney PhotoPass videos or ride-photo opportunities. To ensure you don't skip-out on capturing these unmissable memories, be sure to tap the MagicBand touch-points at the photo preview area when exiting Attractions with this magical benefit.
Sheila, I also suggest taking a peek at your current MagicBands via
My Disney Experience to double-check which ones are still active prior to arriving at Walt Disney World Resort. This can easily be done by logging into your My Disney Experience account online and selecting
My MagicBands & Cards from the drop-down menu, and then clicking on your own name. On this handy webpage, you'll be able to view, deactivate or even report a MagicBand as lost.
There's always something new and magical on offer to Guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort, and I think that one of the most useful additions for Guest convenience is the ability to
Unlock Doors with the My Disney Experience App! Now add that to
Online Check-In and it's highly likely that you'll be able to head straight to your Resort room without waiting for the usual check-in process in the Resort lobby area.
Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
