I have old Magic Bands from a trip 4 years ago. We aren't planning on staying on property this time. Can I get my tickets linked to my old Magic Bands so we can use those?

Hello Michelle, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

MagicBands are a super handy way to manage your travel. When staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can use them for opening your room door, charging your purchases, using your dining plan, and entering the parks.  When staying off Disney property, you can still use them to handle all of your park tickets.

Typically, MagicBand batteries last up to about three years.  Since your MagicBands are over three years old, I would not be comfortable recommending there use on this trip. It would be quite a challenge if the batteries stopped working mid-way through your trip. If you would like, you can order new ones at ShopDisney. Since you are not staying at a Disney Resort hotel, there will be a charge for the MagicBands.

I hope this helps with your planning. If you have more questions, come on back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We love to help!

    See ya real soon,
