Are our old magic bands interchangeable with our new bands during our trip? I see they are still active on MDE. Is there anything special we would have to do to make sure they work on our rooms, make purchases and as our park tickets?

Hi Lisa,

Great question! As long as your older MagicBands are still shown as active in your My Disney Experience account, they should be completely interchangeable. I love being able to choose the color of my MagicBand based on the season, my outfit or my mood.

In fact, I usually keep a spare for each person in my family in my tote bag, just in case one of them loses or forgets their primary MagicBand.

(The newest color, purple, is my current favorite MagicBand, by the way.)
