Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Natalie. I see that you have a trip planned to Walt Disney World in only a few short months. I bet you are getting so excited!
Natalie, you are welcome to use a
MagicBand from a previous trip to
Walt Disney World as long as it is still active. To check this, log in to your MyDisneyExperience account. Then, hover your cursor over the
MyDisneyExperince logo on the top right-hand side of the screen. This will open a drop-down menu and you'll want to select the "My MagicBands and Cards" option. Scroll unit you want to see the person that you want to check the activation status for and click on their name. You'll see all of the available MagicBands for that particular person listed out. If it is on and working you'll see the status listed as "Active". If this is the case you are good to go. If the particular MagicBand you want to use is listed as inactive, you can always reactivate it on that same page. It's as easy as Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo.
You are also welcome to use a keys to the world card or even your phone via the
MyDisneyExperience app while you are at Walt Disney World. You can get a complimentary keys to the world card at the front desk of the Walt Disney World resort hotel that you happen to be staying at. Your keys to the world card will unlock your room, scan you into the Walt Disney World Theme Parks and collect your pictures from a Photopass photographer. The MyDisneyExperience app can also scan you into the theme parks, unlock your room door, order and purchase food from quick-service dining locations and so much more. Be sure to have it downloaded on your smartphone device before your trip.
Natalie, if you see a new MagicBand that you'd like to purchase while you are at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, you can always switch over to using that one after you arrive. You'll see MagicBands at most merchandise stores. There are some really fun and cute designs out right now. Linking it to your account is super simple and you'll find those directions on the back of the MagicBand packaging.
I hope this helps, Natalie. If you have any other questions before you go, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have fun!
Jackie H.
