Hello, Michelle!
Thank you for reaching out with your question. I'm happy to assist you today.
I also have MagicBands that are as old as my son, and I'm happy to share that as long as they are linked to your My Disney Experience account and specifically to you as a Guest, you can still use them if a ticket is attached. However, you will not be able to use them for making room charge purchases. You can always double-check if your MagicBand is active in the ‘MagicBands & Cards’ section of your
My Disney Experience app. If it is not active, I recommend adding your pass to your digital wallet and using
MagicMobile. Or, if you prefer, you can always get yourself another MagicBand. After all, it's always fun to have options! Treat yourself!
Just to clarify, you'll be able to use your MagicBands to enter theme parks, scan in for
Lightning Lanes, and access virtual queues. Only Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel can charge purchases to their room using MagicBands. This is one of the
many benefits of being a Guest staying on site.
A great alternative is to use a
Disney Gift Card. This allows you to set a budget for dining and merchandise, helping you manage your spending at The Most Magical Place on Earth. It's also a convenient option, as many locations are becoming cashless.
Michelle, thank you again for your question. I'm glad I could help! Please feel free to reach out anytime. Remember, you've got a friend in me.
Your personal planning companion,
Michelle
