Hi Scott,
Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you so much for asking us a follow-up to your previous question about whether your daughter can use her MagicBand on her upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort with her orchestra.
I’m thrilled to hear that her
MagicBand is still showing as “active”– that’s a really great sign! In order for her to be able to use it for admission to a Theme Park during her visit, what you’ll need to do is link the
Theme Park Ticket that she received as part of that visit to her
My Disney Experience profile; that is, what you just checked to make sure her MagicBand was still active.
Immediately under the heading “Scott’s Plans and Tickets”, you should see a series of 5 circles. If you hover over the one in the middle, with the ticket icon, a “
Link Tickets” link should appear. Click on that and enter the ID number on the back of the ticket or in the email confirmation that she received. That should link her new ticket to her profile and then she should be able to use her MagicBand during your trip. That said, I highly recommend that she bring the plastic physical ticket with her (if she has one) just in case the linking process doesn’t work. If you have any issues with the linking process, I’d check with the trip’s organizers to make sure that these tickets are “linkable” (some may not be) or you can also
contact Walt Disney World Resort for technical assistance.
I hope that everything goes smoothly and that you’re able to link your daughter’s ticket to her profile and that she’ll be able to use her MagicBand on her trip – it really does make the Magic go more smoothly! If my answer isn’t clear or if you have any other questions, as always, please PLEASE don’t hesitate to come back and see us. You can also keep our conversation going by
asking me a direct question. I’m truly always happy to help; I know that this tech stuff can get tricky!!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
