Hello, Luz and welcome to planDisney!
Luz, I'm so happy you stopped by with your question as you're planning to be on island time! My family and I visited Disney's Old Key West Resort just last summer and I hope my experience will help as you're selecting a room.
Disney's Old Key West Resort is an idyllic location that channels all that is relaxing and invigorating about southern Florida. From the music you'll hear in the open air corridors to the
dining options to the
Sandcastle Pool, there is just something about this resort's ambiance that encourages you to leave your watch and worries behind.
Now, Luz, to enjoy all you'll find around the Hospitality House, including
Conch Flats General Store, the closest buildings are 12 and 13. These are located just across the parking lot which is only a short walk away. If you are (
or have already) booked as a cash reservation, to request one of these buildings, I recommend calling into the Disney Hotel Reservations line and asking the Cast Member to note your request on your reservation.
Luz, if you are a
Disney Vacation Club Member and planning to book with points, you'll see that there is a specific category that notes,
"Near Hospitality House." This category includes buildings 11, 12, 13 and 14. If you'd like to request a specific building as a Disney Vacation Club Member, I recommend
calling into Member Services. If you are unable to book in the "Near Hospitality House" category, I recommend building 23. Outside of the preferred category, this building is easily accessible to the Conch Flats General Store and close to the Peninsular Rd. bus stop.
Luz, I hope this helps as you are building your Magical vacation. From all of us here at planDisney, we wish you a pixie dusted stay and hope that if you have any additional questions, you'll stop by again.
Lauren
