How do I get from old key west resort to jambo house at animal kingdom

Hey there, Bernie! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for sharing your question with us.

Walt Disney World is approximately 43 square miles, which means it's twice the size of Manhattan and about the same size as the city of San Francisco. So even seasoned Walt Disney World adventurers need directions from time to time. Let’s get you on your way!

First, make sure you have the My Disney Experience app downloaded to your mobile device. Not only does the app allow you to manage your tickets, make reservations, and book Lightning Lane Passes, but it can also provide step-by-step directions and estimated travel times to most locations around the resort.

The My Disney Experience app is suggesting that you take the complimentary bus from Old Key West to Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. Once you arrive at the Animal Kingdom bus area, just look for the Animal Kingdom Lodge bus loading area (signs are overhead) or ask a helpful Cast Member to point you in the right direction. That bus will take you to Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House, but be sure to listen to the bus driver's announcements. Sometimes they stop at Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kindai Village first.

Suggested directions and travel times will change depending on when you are traveling. At the time I’m writing this, the My Disney Experience app is estimating your trip from Old Key West to Animal Kingdom Lodge will take about 71 minutes.

I hope you enjoy your visit to Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House. This resort is home to Boma, one of my favorite restaurants at Walt Disney World, and viewing the animals out on the savannah is a pretty special experience.

Don’t hesitate to come back if you have more questions, Bernie. You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney!

    Magical travels!
