Will my old active magic bands have my tickets fastpasses and meal plan credits on them?

    Hi William,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm happy to answer your question about MagicBands and how they work during your vacation and on visits to come.

Disney's MagicBand technology puts all your information right on your wrist -- tickets, FastPass+ reservations, meal credits, the key to your resort room, even a link to your credit card if you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort. It's all just a tap away.

The MagicBands sync to your My Disney Experience account. That's really where all the information lives, not "on" the MagicBand. So as long as your My Disney Experience account is up-to-date, any active MagicBand in your collection with a functioning battery will link to it. I have at least a dozen active MagicBands, and I use them interchangeably, depending on which color or design I'm in the mood for each day.

Batteries should last at least two years. When I customize my MagicBands, I include the year so that I know approximately how old each one is. For example, my newest Minnie Mouse MagicBand says WILMA2020 on the inside.

Remember that a free solid-colored MagicBand is provided to each registered guest in a Walt Disney World resort room. Or guests can choose select specialty designs for a discounted price. You also can decline the free MagicBands if you don't need or want another one.

I hope that answers your question, William. Please check back if we can assist you with your plans in any other way. Enjoy!
