What OKW (one-bdrm villa) location is best to request? Looking for separate bathroom door, prefer to be near a quiet pool, close to transportation, not too far from main pool/lobby. Thanks!

    Hi Jennifer,

I love a stay at Disney's Old Key West Resort. If you booked through Disney Vacation Club, you will have chosen a location that is either "Near Hospitality House" or not. The Hospitality House area is the area closest to the main pool, lobby, shopping and dining. If you booked this reservation using a traditional payment method such as a credit card through Disney, you would not have had to indicate this preference.

It is probably not possible to have all of your requests in one villa, so I suggest that you consider which of your desires are the most important to you. For instance, a villa that is near the main pool will not be close to a quiet pool as the pools are spread out throughout the resort. Also, I believe that the villas with two bathroom doors are located in the newer buildings, numbered 30 and higher. The buildings closest to the main pool and lobby area are typically the lower numbered buildings as these were built first. If you are willing to sacrifice being close to the main pool and lobby to have your other requests, I would suggest buildings 43, 44, or 56. Buildings 11, 12, 13 and 14 would put you close to the main pool and lobby as well as transportation, but would be further from a quiet pool and I believe would not have the second bathroom door.

Rather than requesting a particular building, I suggest that you indicate what your preferences are. This way, if the cast member assigning your room cannot get your particular building, they will know why you made the request that you did. If you are a Disney Vacation Club member, you can have your request noted by calling Disney Vacation Club Member Services at 1-800-800-9800. Otherwise, call Disney at 407-939-5277 to have your requests noted. Please do note that while Disney will do their best to honor requests, they cannot be guaranteed.
