Hi there, Aimee! Welcome to planDisney! My fellow panelists and I are here to help with all of your questions about Disney parks, hotels, dining, experiences, and more! We love every aspect of planning a Disney vacation, and that especially includes how to dress for a day in the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks. Let's hop to it!
When you're considering what to wear at a Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park, first, you'll want to check the forecast. In Florida, it can get pretty warm, especially in the summer! I've also spent quite a few days in the theme parks when I've needed a jacket, scarf, and hat to keep warm (and I'm not a hat kind of girl). You'll be happy to know that you are more than welcome to wear a Disneyland spirit jersey at Walt Disney World Resort. I promise, nobody will kick you out or look at you like you're crazy! On the contrary, you'll see attire of all kinds, especially from the various Disney resorts across the world, like Disneyland.
My extended family of 18 actually had a lot of fun with our clothing choices on our recent visit to Walt Disney World Resort. My daughter, who is currently in her Princess Era, wore a different Disney Princess dress every day! I loved coordinating my outfit colors with her sparkly dresses, and it was super cute in photos. On our
EPCOT day, all of the boys and men wore jerseys from their favorite teams from around the world. They were constantly stopped by fellow fans who said things like, "Up the reds!" and offered high-fives in support. Each of the girls wore different styles of Minnie Mouse headbands. Another day, our whole group wore Mickey Mouse sweatshirts that featured the same print, but in different colors. It made for a really sweet family photo in front of the Tree of Life at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Many families like to customize t-shirts in bright colors to help them keep track of their group, and some people like to sport their vintage Disney attire from past visits. And then, there are people who just wear their normal clothing with no Disney emblems or references at all - and that's great, too! As long as your attire is in line with the
Walt Disney World Attire Policy, you can wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and at home.
Aimee, I hope you feel comfortable enough to rock that Disneyland spirit jersey during your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. I bet you'll look awesome and have a blast! Maybe you can even find a Walt Disney World Resort spirit jersey to add to your collection while you're there!
See you real soon!
