Just a few months until you'll be saying "I do," Rebecca! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding, and thanks for reaching out to us at planDisney with your question about attire guidelines around the resort area. What better way to celebrate your nuptials than staying at a Disney Resort hotel and enjoying one of the most iconic snacks in all of Walt Disney World: Mickey-shaped beignets! These beauties offer a pixie dust of their own in the form of powdered sugar, and I'd be happy to help you plan out a special trip to get them while dressed to impress.
The good news is that you won't have to travel far to get your beignets, as you'll be a hotel guest at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. Beignets can typically be found at
Scat Cat's Club - Cafe, but that location will be closing for a refurbishment starting on October 6th. Not to worry! These fluffy and freshly fried delicacies will be available just around the corner at
Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory while Scat Cat's is closed. Grab an order or two of these tasty treats and snack to your heart's content, just don't forget the napkins! I wouldn't want you to get anything on your spiffy wedding threads.
Speaking of your wedding attire, I think it's totally okay for you to wear it around the resort to pick up your beignets. Disney World does not permit clothing that drags on the ground, and all articles must be "proper." Garments that have multiple layers are subject to search, and Cast Members have discretion to not allow clothing that "could detract from the experience of other Guests." You can check out the full
attire policy if you want to dig a little deeper into the rules, but I think you'll be ok for a quick beignet run.
