Would it be okay to rent a hotel where the 4 adults get the beds and the kids sleep on the floor without paying for the family sweet?

    Hiya, Kelsea!

Thanks for visiting us at planDisney today, it’s so nice to meet you! It sounds like you are preparing for a visit with a large group, those types of trips have been my favorite. The reason is all the memories that are created when everyone comes together. My husband and I have birthdays one day apart so we usually visit with our family of four, and then extend the invitation to my siblings and our parents. I think the last birthday trip included a total of ten of us. It was so much fun! Plus, the extra eyes on our Mouseketeers helped a whole bunch too.

Now, because of your party size, you will need to book a larger room or multiple rooms. I believe the maximum capacity in a standard room is 4 guests, so for safety reasons, you will need a larger room or multiple rooms. There is a family suite at All-Star Music Resort I recommend taking a look at. Depending on when you are planning on visiting, there might be availability there and I think the cost is usually a little less than the family suites at Art of Animation

Something else to keep in mind is that if you are booking your trip as a vacation package, the total number of guests will need to be included on the reservation. So that each guest over the age of 3 receives a theme park ticket in the vacation package. That also means the Cast Member assisting with booking, or if you are booking online, will need to include a room large enough for your entire party. When we’ve gone as a large group we usually book multiple rooms at the same resort. That way we are still together and within walking distance of one another. You will also be able to request neighboring rooms so that your party can be even closer together. My family did this at Pop Century and it came in handy when it came to evening showers. We were able to get the little ones bathed and into bed much quicker since two were going at a time.

Kelsea, I hope this helps answer your question and allows you to navigate your resort reservation. I also recommend taking a look at the current special offers to see if there’s something there that may work better for your family’s upcoming visit.

    Enjoy!
