Would it be okay to have pictures taken (by a server) while I give a ring to my wife for our wedding anniversary in V&A's main dining room? I heard it is very quiet and formal so I'm not sure if this would be improper for such an establishment. Thanks!

Wow, Jon.  Congratulations on your upcoming engagement, and let me begin by saying that you have definitely chosen the perfect setting for your proposal.  Victoria and Albert's is such a special dining experience in itself and the atmosphere is just so beautiful... absolutely perfect for your plan.

Although the dining room is quiet and formal, it is not in any way snooty or uptight.  My husband and I have dined there several times and we always have our server take a few photos to capture the moment.  In fact, on occasion, I have even forgone the photo opportunity, only to have a server generously offer to take one anyway!  When you have secured your reservation, a cast member from Victoria and Albert's will personally contact you to discuss the fine details of your visit.  Be sure to let them know about this special occasion and they will be sure to go the extra mile to help make this experience as magical as possible.  I can bet on that!

Oh my goodness... I am so happy I was able to assist with this special celebration.  Please be sure to write back if I can answer any additional questions about Victoria and Albert's or any other aspect of this upcoming vacation.

    Best Wishes,

    Amanda F.
