Hi, there!
Devan, I'm so thrilled to hear you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort with your little guy. You're sure to have a magical stay!
When dining with a toddler in tow, my best advice is to keep them entertained. I don't know about your toddler, but mine doesn't have much patience! I know if I can keep her entertained and busy through mealtime, we're more likely to have a positive experience. When you're at
Magic Kingdom Park, I recommend dining at
The Crystal Palace. This
Character Dining Experience is perfect for little ones because they can enjoy kid-friendly fare AND the company of Winnie the Pooh and his friends from the Hundred-Acre Wood. Another great option is
Chef Mickey's, which is located just outside of Magic Kingdom Park at Disney's Contemporary Resort. At Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, my top pick is Tusker House Restaurant. I love this restaurant for it's unique atmosphere and delicious food. At
Tusker House Restaurant, you can count on meeting Mickey Mouse and his pals who are sporting the most adorable safari outfits!
Rainforest Cafe is my second recommendation for a meal at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. I bet your little guy would enjoy dining among the animals and greenery of the Amazon rainforest!
With your visit just days away, you may not find immediate availability for dining reservations. My best advice is to keep checking! There will often be reservation availability closer to the date as people change their plans at the last minute. If you still can't find an available reservation, don't hesitate to check for walk-in availability!
When visiting the theme parks with a little one, I always suggest taking a midday break. My family leaves the theme park shortly after lunch and returns to our Disney Resort hotel for a dip in the pool followed by a much-needed nap. Once everyone is well-rested, we return to the theme park in the evening! If you don't want to take the time to return to Disney's All-Star Movies, take a break in the afternoon by sitting down for a show.
Mickey's PhilharMagic at Magic Kingdom Park and
Find Nemo - The Musical at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park both feature cool, dark theaters with comfortable seating; perfect for a nice rest!
Be sure to pack a well-stocked park bag. I usually pack snacks, drinks, sunscreen, diapers, wipes, hand sanitizer, and a change of clothes before leaving our hotel room in the morning. We haven't always needed each of these items, but it's better to be safe than sorry when traveling with infants or toddlers!
I hope this was helpful, Devan. Please let me know if you have any other questions about traveling with the
Walt Disney World Resort with your little one!
