Okay, Im planning a trip in May. Im planning to stay at the grand villa with the park view. But Im starting too wonder if its really worth it vs the 2 bedroom villa. There will 2 adults and 6 kids ages 14,12,11,10,4 and a 2 yrs. We will be there for a week.

    Hi, Dorothea!

We've stayed in a Grand Villa at Disney's Animal Kingdom-Kidana Villas and in a 2-Bedroom Villa at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort (several times) and can say that both types of accommodations are absolutely spectacular.

One 4th of July weekend, we stayed in a Theme Park View 2-BDRM at BL with four adults and five kids; there was plenty of room for everyone! One great feature (there are so many) of the BL 2-BDRM Villas is the third bathroom in the main living area. You can have the adults in the master bedroom, with their own bath, four kids in the second bedroom, with their own bath, and the two remaining kids on the sleeper sofa and sleeper chair...with their own bathroom. Ask for bed rails for the little one if sleeping on a sleeper chair or sofa causes you any concern, too.

Truly, there was plenty of room for our group of 9 in the 2-BDRM, and we even hosted a 4th of July party for my local cousins. There were at least 25 of us in our villa that night, and we had room to spare.

Of course, the Grand Villa is truly amazing, though, so if this is the one trip where you might want to splurge for it, there is something to be said for that.

In short? Do you need the extra space for your party? Not at all. Will you enjoy the splurge if you decide to keep it? Of course.

Hope this helps! Be sure to send more questions as you think of them, too!
