Hi Robert, and welcome to planDisney!
As a mom of two young boys, I’m always hauling a bag (or two) onto attractions. At Walt Disney World Resort, I love that I can place my bag into a storage pouch in front of me or underneath me (like on
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith at Disney’s Hollywood Studios), behind me in a cubby (like on
Avatar Flight of Passage at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park), or even at my feet (like on
Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom Park).
Sometimes I’ll place my larger backpack in the aisle off to the side of the ride vehicle on attractions like
Soarin’ Around the World at EPCOT. If the solution is not clear, politely ask a Cast Member about the storage options for the particular attraction.
You’ll want to make sure your backpack fits the park’s guidelines for acceptable bag dimensions. According to the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, “backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm) are not allowed in any theme park or water park.”
AN EXTRA GEM: If you want to take a load off of your back throughout your days at the parks, consider
renting a locker near the front entrances of each theme park.
I hope that you have a wonderful vacation next month! Please don’t hesitate to
revisit us here at planDisney with any further questions.
Magic always,
LeAndra
