Is it ok to walk-in Harmony barber? Since my son is 1 year old, it really depends on his mood at that time if we will do his first haircut.

Hey Jo Melissa! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I have to admit that Harmony Barber Shop is the place that each of my children has had their first haircuts! As a matter of fact my daughter’s first haircut is actually right around the corner and I can’t wait. It has been my experience that each of Barber Shop stylists have been incredible kind, patient, and talented. They have made all of us feel so comfortable and have granted us memories that we will never forget.

While walk-ins are welcome based on availability, I would not recommend counting on a walk up appointment. This is a very popular spot and spaces fill up very quickly. It is my highest recommendation that you do in fact make an appointment for your son’s first hair cut. I completely understand that a child’s mood can be quite unpredictable. My best advice to you would be to figure out what your son’s happiest time of day is. My kids always tended to be happier in the morning so that is when I booked the appointment. I also always tried to book the appointment for either the first or second day of our stay. This way they aren’t worn out from all of that Disney magic!

I hope that you get to experience that same excitement that my family has having your son’s first haircut at Harmony Barber Shop! Make sure to bring some tissues…when they put the “First Haircut” Mickey Ears on your sons head you will experience such magical emotions!
