Ok i am verry concerned i booked a vacation for 8/25/09 to 8/31/09 only 1 month ago, so far i have only one reservation for dinner at the christal palace i got the dining plan and paid extra but now there seems to be no space i feel i wont have a good din

    Hi James,

The only downside to the free dining option is that people tend to book reservations at multiple restaurants, and often it can be almost impossible to get a reservation at a table service restaurant.  All I can say is, hang in there.  Keep trying to make reservations.  As people firm up their plans, the conscientious ones will cancel any reservations that they've double booked to open up space for guests such as yourself.

Also, if you're willing to eat a little earlier or later than your typical meal time, you may have more luck.  I've found that people will cancel reservations the day of, and you can often get a seating time from calling from your resort room before you leave for the parks in the morning.

Make some reservations at less popular locations.  Kona Cafe and Biergarten are two restaurants that my family had to "settle for" on our last vacation, and both restaurants left us pleasantly surprised.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
