Ok, we are set on a Deluxe resort but can't decide which one. We had finally decided on AKL because it seemed to be a little bit less money than the other deluxe resorts. But we were told today that we wouldn't like how far it is from the parks PLEASE HELP

    Hi Chelsea!
Not sure who's doing the telling, but I personally think that Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of, if not THE best, Deluxe resorts in all of Walt Disney World!! It is certainly the best themed.
As for its distance to the parks, yes, it is the furthest resort away from Magic Kingdom, but only about an 18-20 minute bus ride. Think of it this way, people who stay at the Grand Floridian or the Polynesian or the Contemporary still go to the Animal Kingdom, so how far/bad can it be?
The amenities, theming, dining choices and ANIMALS make it so worth the extra few minutes on a bus...and that's only to Magic Kingdom. You are only minutes to Animal Kingdom, and not much further to both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. PLUS, you are also only minutes to Blizzard Beach. So, the advantages way outnumber the distance in my book!
I hope I have made you a bit more comfortable with your resort choice. It's a winner!
    I wish you a Magical vacation!! :)
